Supposedly confirmed as of a few days ago, however we are still awaiting official word from Canon on their newest baby, due any day now. Complete specs, (translated from Chinese) are here for the time being. Apparently there had been a big bru-ha-ha when a photo hit the internet apparently taken by the new Canon according to it’s metadata (and the info right on the web page itself), on what many believe to be a Media Temple client page. This being a big oops, since they are a web dev for high profile clients such as Sony, Adobe, ABC and others. The others, in some people’s mind’s, could include Canon. Thus, a page that had Canon photos which was leaked onto the net before it was discovered and subsequently password protected. (Read the full post about ‘Canon 50D; they say she is for real’…)

If you’re tired of having the same old boring controllers to go with your favorite games, you’ll like this new design. It features chrome and not just shiny plastic that looks like chrome. Granted that means that you’re stuck making fingerprints all over it every single time you pick it up. However, having a shiny controller like this might be worth the extra trouble it would cause. The device is coming from China’s Dream Cheeky, which in the past have offered all kinds of USB gadgets. Right now there isn’t even the slightest hint as to where one might get one of these and when it would become available. However, it is listed on the Dream Cheeky website, which shows all of the details on the game pad. Well, besides the details we want most, which is where to get one. According to the site it is compatible with both the PC and Mac. It also features an 8-way directional game pad and is powered by USB with 6ft cables. If you want the best, and I mean the very best, regardless of Price, the Pioneer Elite BDP-09FD would be the blu-ray player. Up until now, the best blu-ray player available has surprisingly been the Sony PlayStation 3. The Pioneer BDP-09FD really takes blu-ray players to the next level, and makes all current models look rather lacking and sub standard. Pioneer have given their Elite Pioneer BDP-09FD full Blu-ray Profile 2.0 straight out of the box, with no need to wait for new firmware to be released. Fully supporting the new BD-Live playback. As you can see from the photo, the Pioneer BDP-09FD is be big hefty machine, at about 45 lbs, with all it’s highest end components mounted directly, with no internal wiring to a 1/4 inch plate of sold steel base and extremely vibration-free feet. Though genuine photography enthusiasts would not touch the Yang Ying digital camera with a barge pole, it presents a design of considerable interest to gadget-buffs like me who are on the eternal look-out for unusual designs. The Yang Ying camera conceptualized by Polish designer Kubasek Krzysztof, is shaped like - well, the hugely popular Yin and Yang symbols from Chinese philosophy. As far as the looks are concerned, we have to slot this device in the eye-catcher category as it has no take-away from a traditional camera. The camera is separable into two “tear-drops”, one of which holds the LCD preview screen and the other holds the flash memory which can directly be connected to your PC’s USB port. Although we were excited about its launch, we’re not exclusively about the iphone 3G here at Popgadget. We are just (okay,almost) as excited about the sexy new BlackBerry Bold, with its large screen, WiFi, GPS and, um, John Mayer endorsement. So when I saw these fabulous hand-made blackberry earrings on Etsy, I thought they would be the perfect way to declare brand loyalty until the Bold is available next month. But they’re sold out. However, there’s nothing to stop you from buying up some Fimo and making something similar yourself (using the phone or your choice as your inspiration). This Spy Micro Camera Watch from Brando doesn’t just tell time. This innocent-looking timepiece is actually equipped with a camera at the face of the watch itself, just like how a real 007 gadget would have. The built-in camera comes with rechargeable battery and, of course, a 2GB storage capacity for you to record crimes and evidences with. It wouldn’t be so hard to notice that the new FTEC eBook G10 is just a rebranded and redesigned ECS G10IL. The mere presence of “G10” in their name spills it all. Specs and features-wise, the FTEC eBook G10 does not have anything different from the ECS G10IL. But one thing is clear, this version of the ECS G10IL certainly looks cooler than its original version, especially with a fire emblem accentuating the keyboard and touchpad area. Anyway, the FTEC eBook G10 is currently being promoted in Malaysia with three models to boot, namely the G10E, G10X and G10X-3G. But all of them have the following features and specs; an Intel Atom processor, a 10.2-inch SWGA display, 1.3-megapixel webcam, a 4-in-1 card reader and a 5-cell battery pack.
